Margot Roa has developed her practice across multiple disciplines, including acting, filmmaking, photography, and poetry.
A graduate of the Film and Digital Media program at UC Santa Cruz, her work includes commissioned videography for the Nevada County Arts Council, collaborations with local businesses such as Lavinia Apothecary.
She has directed six short films and earned seven awards, notably winning the Kingsley Merit Award for The Handmade Man and second place for Music and the Muse at the Yuba Sutter Film Festival.
Recently she completed Without a Doubt, an autobiographical excerpt on growing up within the esoteric school The Fellowship of Friends. With The Living Room Arts Collective, Roa presented her film Portraits to participate at a Bodhi Hive showing.
